There is a letter on my wall in my office that tells me not to delay my inevitable, God-given success. Reader I’m now telling you the same thing.
If the heartache of trying to build or heal has left you feeling burnt out, feeling like you’re about to go through another cycle with no end in sight- listen up:
What if the whole point is that God is making you hungry for something He KNOWS you can achieve and that’s why you can’t let it go? What if it’s never been about how many times you’ve failed but how each failure is moving you toward inevitable success?
What if the heartache of trying is a holy thing? What if you can’t get to your next level without this level’s lessons?
Psalm 126:5-6 tells us that, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” I could imagine a farmer sowing their seed in tears, devastated that the crop they harvested only brought forth a hand full of seed.
All that hard work. All that plowing. All that tilling. Just for a storm to come or the locust to eat it and there isn’t enough food.
They have to borrow to feed their family.
They become the laughing stock of the community.
They face humiliation and shame because they expected big but got back little.
But by faith, you being the farmer, takes what little seed this last harvest produced and releases it into the ground.
You show up again. You trust again. You believe again.
Not because you’re great, but like Sarah, who bore a child long after childbearing years, you believed that He who promised is faithful, Hebrews 10:13.
If God put it in your heart to accomplish, He’s given this earth and your community all the materials you need to finish your work. It's up to you to search it out. Ask, seek, knock!
Don’t delay you inevitable, God-given success. Try again.
I love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
